Our adoption fees cover the costs of veterinary care, vaccinations, microchipping, and desexing. Fees vary depending on the age and specific needs of the dog.

The adoption process

Each dog has a detailed profile with information about their personality, needs, and history.

Submit an application

Once you’ve found a dog you’re interested in, click on the dog's profile and this will take you to the dog advert on our Savourlife platform where you complete an adoption application for that dog and send it to us.

Interview and home visits

We’ll arrange a phone interview and a home visit to discuss your application and ensure your home is ready for a new dog.
This step ensures the safety and comfort of the dog in their new environment.

Meet and greet

If your application is approved, we’ll set up a meet and greet with the dog.
This is a great opportunity for you to get to know the dog and see if they’re the right fit for your family.

Adoption finalisation

Once you decide to proceed with the adoption, we’ll complete the necessary paperwork.
You’ll receive an adoption pack with all the information you need to care for your new companion.

Follow up support

Our commitment to you and your new dog doesn’t end with the adoption.
We provide ongoing support and resources to help ensure a smooth transition and a happy life together.

What if I have other pets?

If you have other pets, we’ll work with you to ensure a smooth introduction between your new dog and existing pets. Our team will give you guidance and tips for a successful integration.

What if I have children?

If you have children, we recommend adopting a dog that is known to be good with children. We can help you find a dog that fits well with your family dynamics.

What if the adoption fails?

We offer a trial adoption period to ensure the dog is the right fit for your home. If for any reason it doesn’t work out, we will take the dog back and find them the right home.
