How the last litter program works

Mum and pups go to an experienced carer.

Once you apply by filling out the form below, the mother dog and her puppies will be placed with an experienced foster carer. The carer provides a safe, loving environment for the mother to whelp and care for her pups.

Medical care covered

All medical expenses related to the whelping process are fully covered by Scruffer Lovers Inc. This includes vet visits, vaccinations, and any necessary treatments to ensure the health and well-being of the mother and her puppies.

Desexing services

As part of our commitment to reducing unwanted litters, we offer free desexing for both the mother and the father dog (if he also lives in the home). This service includes vaccination and microchipping for the mother.

Return of the mother dog

After the mother dog has been desexed, vaccinated, and microchipped, she is returned to her owner. This ensures she can continue to live a healthy and happy life without the risk of future unplanned litters.

Puppies under our care

Scruffer Lovers Inc. takes full responsibility for the puppies. We ensure they receive the best care, vaccinations, and socialisation before they are ready to be adopted into loving forever homes.

Loving homes for every puppy

Every puppy in the Last Litter Program is placed in a carefully selected forever home. We match each pup with the right family based on their needs, personality and future wellbeing. Our adoption process includes vetting, education and support to make sure every dog gets the best possible start in life.
